Junior Developer

24–40 hours Mijdrecht (hybrid) Permanent contract or internship

At Day Six we build custom software, webshops, portals and integrations for clients who want to organise their work smarter. We are a small team, we work AI-first and we talk directly to our clients. You learn the trade here in practice: on real projects that go live, with an experienced developer next to you reviewing your work.

What you will do

You help build websites, webshops, portals and integrations. On real client projects from week one, not a practice assignment
You get clearly defined parts that are yours: a module, a screen, an integration
Before you build, you write down in five lines what you'll do, how, and where you're unsure. You get a response within a day: think first, then build
You work with AI tools like Claude Code and Codex, and with GitHub. You learn when to trust them and when not to
You take part in support: small changes, bugs, improvements. That's how you learn how software behaves when real people use it

What you bring

Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. A degree is nice, your own projects are better
You've already built something yourself, however small. Show us
You're comfortable with AI tools and critical of them
You're eager to learn: you ask questions, figure things out, ask for feedback and act on it
You enjoy understanding why a client needs something, not just what

24 to 40 hours a week, hybrid from Mijdrecht. Also possible as a graduation internship or work-study route
